Zorya Luhansk newcomer Dejan Popara on his move to Zorya Luhansk and the training camp in Turkey:
-We welcome you to our team and wish you good matches for Zorya!
-Thank you very much. I am very happy to be here, to join a team like Zorya. I am 21 years old, I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I couldn't wait for the training camp to start so I could start working and meet the players.
My last club was Sloga from the elite division of Bosnia, for which I played 50 matches.
- Have you already talked to coach Mladen Bartulovic?
- Yes, I talked to the general director Igor Viktorovich Guz and coach Mladen Bartulovic. I realized that we have a team with a great history and great potential. After talking to them, I had only positive impressions.
-You joined the team at the right time - during the training camp.
-That's right. It is possible to go through all the training camps from the very beginning, get in shape, work hard and try to do everything to help the team.
-By the way, it will be easier for you to adapt, because we have a lot of Balkan players.
-I understand that (smiles). We speak, so to speak, the same language as Petar Michin, Jean Trontel, Jakov Bashić and Gabriel Eskinja. The guys have already told me that we have a great team and have every chance to be as high as possible.
-What is your main position on the field?
-I play in the center of the field. Mainly as a holding midfielder. But I can play higher up.
