Mladen Bartulovic: "Our game was very good today and the atmosphere was good"

Luhansk Zorya coach Mladen Bartulovic on the victory over Karpaty:

"I congratulate my team on a well-deserved victory. I also congratulate our fans on the end of the season on a positive note. It's a bit of a pity that we lost points earlier, which did not allow us to fight for European competitions to the end.

Our game today was very good and the atmosphere was great. We expected a difficult game. The first half was nervous. There were a lot of emotions. After the break, we talked to the guys and made adjustments. We realized that Karpaty needed a victory and that they would open up. We took advantage of this and could have made it a big score.

-This match was not of fundamental importance for your team, but you played to the end, demonstrating your character.

-Before the match, I told my players that I would like to be in their place because I knew what the atmosphere would be like here. We need to finish the season on a positive note and show that we are not worse than the teams that are slightly above us in the table.

-How do you like the atmosphere at the stadium today?

-I can say that I got a buzz from this atmosphere (smiles). I played in the same stadium when I was at Karpaty and I'm glad to feel this atmosphere again.
