-It’s a real shame to lose this match. Neither team dominated. Luck wasn’t on our side today—we conceded a goal off a rebound.
Our guys showed that we know how to play soccer. They weren’t afraid of the opponent. They played well both on defense and on offense.
If we keep playing like this, the result will be different. I see progress—a step forward. Especially compared to the game against Bukovyna, where, once we started winning, we decided for some reason that we needed to sit back and defend. Today, however, we did everything we could to win.
-Would you say the result didn’t reflect the game?
-That’s exactly right. The team is disappointed in the locker room. But I always try to keep the players focused on the positive. There were a lot of good things from our side in this match. I hope we’ll keep it up going forward.
-There’s a long break coming up. How will Zorya spend it?
-The team will have a few days off. Then we’ll continue preparing for the next matches. We’ll play two friendly matches during the break. You’ll find out who our opponents are soon on our social media.
