Zorya Luhansk defender Jean Trontel on the start of the spring part and the goal for this season:
-I have to start with the fact that we did a great job in Turkey. It was there that the foundation for the spring part was laid. We began to understand each other better both on and off the field. Now we continue to gain momentum in the championship. We can confidently say that we have started this year well.
-Your game and attitude are different now than they were six months ago. You've gained in power, in attitude, you've become stronger...
-I'll say it trite, but the first part of the season is a time of adaptation. Then we talked to coach Mladen Bartulovic, analyzed my work, my progress. I realized that I had to work harder and train more. I worked with a personal analyst who is in Slovenia. We worked with him on mistakes, he pointed out what was wrong, told me in what situations I should have played differently or been somewhere else, for example.
-If it's not a secret, what did you talk about with coach Mladen Bartulovic?
-He supported me. He advised me to concentrate on myself, not to give up, to work harder and I will definitely get a chance to play again.
-What is your goal for this season?
-I want to be as high in the table as possible, if we talk about the team as a whole. As for my personal goals, I need to play even better, show better performance and spend as many minutes on the pitch as possible.
-Sometimes, after training, you stay on the field with some other guys. You practice shots, passes, set pieces. What do you think you need to work on?
-On everything. I can confidently say that I need to get better at everything, there is no limit to perfection.
-You have been called up to Slovenian national teams of all ages. You haven't played for the national team yet. How difficult is it to get into the main team now?
-I'm showing good results in Slovenia. For the last two or three years, the same players have been consistently called up to the national team, plus or minus 25. The coach knows everyone well, they give results. I will try to play as well as possible to one day get a call to the national team.
-Your next official game is against Kolos. What do you expect from this match?
-Kolos is a good team. They're going through a time when a lot of changes have taken place. I think we are stronger as a team and in general. We just need to prove it and show it on the field.
We can say that the match against Kolos is very important for us. We need to score as much as possible. If we win, we will even claim the first 4 positions in the championship.
